ARCC Project4
In this series, I wanted to capture the nostalgic essence of the arcc building. For me, I have a personal connection to the space taking dance since I was four and now helping teach and continuing to take class. As a building, I have walked through so many times, met my closest friends, performed recitals, learned, and created; it has always had a warm tone in my mind. While all the photos are seemingly empty of people, even though this is a place I think of predominantly filled with others, this is intentionally to let the space try and speak for itself. There are remembrances of the building's life as handprints on the windows, toe prints in the rosen, and empty hangers forgotten, shoes left on the ledge, and names carved on the lockers. What is a building without those that pass through? And what effect do people have on a space.
